Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theater is located in the old district of Tbilisi , on Shavteli Street. It is the first Georgian puppet theater in Tbilisi. The theater was built by Rezo Gabriadze in 1981. It is distinguished by its individual, interesting architecture and is one of the popular landmarks of Tbilisi. The face of the theater is the clock tower , which Rezo Gabriadze created in 2010. Once an hour, an angel with golden wings emerges from the painted door and rings the bell with a small hammer. Twice a day, at 12:00 and 19:00, a beautiful puppet show - "The Circle of Life" can be seen. Many tourists and locals visit the clock tower to see this fabulous spectacle. On the lower side of the tower there are two ceramic panels, which consist of several hundred tiles. The tiles were made and painted by Rezo Gabriadze himself. Gabriadze Theater is one of the special and magical places in the city. The theater has traveled to many countries of the world with its performances and has participated in many international festivals. On the facade of the theater, Rezo Gabriadze's motto is written in gold - “Extra Cepam Nihil Cogito Nos Lacrimare” - “Let tears flow only from cutting onions”. To the right of the tower is the theater cafe - “Gabriadze”. In the Gabriadze Theater you can see the performances: “Autumn of My Spring”, “Stalingrad”, “Ramona” and “Marshal de Fantier’s Diamond”. Here is also one of the important monuments of Tbilisi - the 6th century temple - Anchiskhati .
