Sometimes the most distinctive artworks are created where colour, water and human imagination meet.
The Art of Ebru offers guests the opportunity to discover traditional Turkish art. The ebru technique involves using colours on the surface of water to create patterns and images, which are then transferred onto paper using a special method. Each artwork is different, giving the process a special and unexpected character.
1. Introduction to the Art of Ebru - Participants will receive a brief introduction to the origins and traditions of ebru, its cultural significance and the basic principles of this art form.
2. Creating Colours and Patterns - With the instructor’s guidance, guests will learn techniques for distributing colours across the surface of water and creating different shapes.
3. Creating Their Own Artwork - Each participant will take part in the creative process and create their own ebru artwork.
4. A Personal Keepsake - The finished artwork will be given to the guest as a keepsake, allowing them to take home not only a memory, but also a piece of art created with their own hands.
Recommended duration: 1.5 - 2 hours, including breaks.
