Gori Fortress is one of the most recognizable landmarks of Gori, standing on a rocky hill in the heart of the city. First mentioned in historical sources in the 13th century, the fortress has been destroyed and rebuilt several times, taking its present form after restoration by King Erekle II in 1774. Today, visitors can explore its historic walls and enjoy beautiful panoramic views over Gori and the surrounding landscape.
