Located on the Black Sea coast between Ureki and Shekvetili, Shekvetili Dendrological Park is one of Georgia's most unique botanical attractions. Opened to visitors in 2020, the 60 hectare park is home to hundreds of giant native trees, some more than 300 years old, alongside rare and exotic plants brought from every continent. Beautiful walking paths wind through bamboo groves, lakes, and landscaped gardens, creating a peaceful environment where nature and conservation come together.
One of the park's highlights is its rich collection of wildlife. Visitors can observe pink flamingos, pelicans, swans, parrots, cranes, deer, lemurs, and many other species living in spacious habitats designed to resemble their natural environments. The combination of impressive tree collections, diverse wildlife, and tranquil lakes makes the park a perfect destination for families, photographers, and nature lovers.
Fun Fact: More than 200 giant native trees were carefully transplanted from different regions of western Georgia, while the park also features exotic species from all five continents, making it one of the most diverse dendrological parks in the region.
