Didgori Valley

The Didgori Memorial is located in the Trialeti Range, about 40–50 km west of Tbilisi. It commemorates the Battle of Didgori (1121), one of the most decisive victories in Georgian history.

The Battle of Didgori was led by King David IV (David the Builder) and is often referred to as the “Miraculous Victory.” It marked a turning point in Georgia’s consolidation and regional strength.

• Bring water and sun protection - the area is fully exposed
• Best times to visit: morning or late afternoon (avoid strong heat)
• It can be windy and cooler than in the city, even in summer
