Gveleti Big Waterfall

Tucked inside the Dariali Gorge, Gveleti is perfect if you want a short adventure without committing to a full-day hike. The trail leads through a rugged mountain landscape before reaching the waterfall, with the surrounding cliffs making the final viewpoint feel much more dramatic than you might expect.

There are actually two Gveleti waterfalls, often referred to as the Big and Small waterfalls. The larger waterfall is particularly impressive after snowmelt or rainfall, when the water becomes much more powerful.

Try this: Wear proper walking shoes - the final section is a mountain trail rather than a paved path.
