Jvari Pass

At 2,379 metres above sea level, Jvari Pass is one of the highest points of the Georgian Military Highway. The road winds through the Greater Caucasus, connecting Gudauri with Stepantsminda and creating some of the most spectacular mountain scenery along the route.

For visitors staying in Gudauri, the pass is particularly beautiful in winter, when the surrounding mountains and road are covered in snow.
