Juta Valley

Juta is a tiny mountain settlement and one of the most popular starting points for hiking in the Kazbegi area. At around 2,150–2,200 metres above sea level, the village sits beneath the dramatic Chaukhi Massif.

The landscape becomes increasingly impressive as you leave the village behind, with green meadows, mountain streams and enormous rocky peaks creating a classic Caucasus panorama.

For more adventurous hikers, trails continue deeper into the mountains toward the famous Abudelauri Lakes.
