City Guide
Standing at the entrance to Batumi Boulevard in Miracle Park, the Batumi Lighthouse is one of the city's oldest and most recognizable landmarks. Built in 1882 by French engineers, the lighthouse has guided ships safely into Batumi Harbor for more than a century. Its elegant white tower and historic charm make it a favorite stop for visitors exploring the city's waterfront. (Adjara Tourism Department)
Although modest in size, the lighthouse remains an important symbol of Batumi's rich maritime heritage. Surrounded by palm trees, the Black Sea, and nearby attractions such as the Alphabet Tower and Ali & Nino Statue, it offers one of the most picturesque spots for a leisurely stroll and memorable photographs.
Fun Fact: Despite being more than 140 years old, the Batumi Lighthouse is still an active navigational aid, continuing to guide vessels entering Batumi Harbor.
