Just a short drive from Kutaisi, Motsameta Monastery sits atop a rocky cliff overlooking the deep gorge of the Tskaltsitela River. The monastery is dedicated to the noble brothers David and Constantine Mkheidze, who were executed after refusing to renounce their Christian faith during an Arab invasion in the 8th century.
