Prometheus Cave

Hidden beneath the forests of Imereti, Prometheus Cave is one of Georgia's most impressive natural attractions. Formed over 60 million years ago, this vast karst cave stretches nearly 1.5 kilometers along a visitor-friendly route through six magnificent chambers, each filled with towering stalactites, stalagmites, underground lakes, and breathtaking rock formations.

Soft lighting enhances the cave's dramatic landscape, creating an almost magical atmosphere as you walk through enormous halls carved by nature over millions of years.

At the end of the route, visitors can often enjoy a peaceful boat ride along an underground river, offering a unique perspective of the cave's hidden beauty, weather and water levels permitting.
