Datvi Lake

Hidden deep within the Okatse Canyon, Datvi Lake is one of Imereti’s most adventurous hiking destinations. Surrounded by towering cliffs, moss-covered rocks and ancient forest, the lake offers a peaceful reward after a challenging descent through the canyon. The trail begins in Gordi village, around 24 km from Kutaisi.

Datvi Lake is located in the Okatse Canyon area, approximately 800 metres from the canyon in a straight line. However, this does not represent the actual hiking distance, as the route follows steep and rugged terrain.
